‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ is the bi-annual charity campaign of the Flemish League against Cancer. The campaign seeks to raise public awareness of the needs of patients and their environment. The campaign collects money for specific causes and aims, i.e. for children with cancer, palliative care and the psychosocial support of cancer patients.
‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ is one of the largest fundraising activities in Flanders.
This year yellow steel drums are placed at the entrances of department stores and other store groups across Flanders. The motto is ‘every full ton gives a leukemia patient a last chance to survive’.
